The appointment comes as the CDMO continues to expand its gummy, softgel, and fizzy tablet format offerings for brand partners.

SIRIO Europe, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) serving the nutraceutical sector, has named Kasia Kortmann as general manager of its European operations, the company announced September 10, 2026.1 Kortmann succeeds into a role overseeing what the company describes as its fastest-growing region, with European revenue reaching €93.8 million in 2025, a 24.95% increase over the prior year.

What is Kortmann’s Past Leadership Experience?

Kortmann arrives with more than two decades of international commercial experience. She joins from Ontex, where she was general management of the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), as well as Benelux and the Nordics, and had previously served as vice president of Commercial Transformation Europe, overseeing a multi-year simplification initiative and operating-model redesign.

She also spent several years at Procter & Gamble working across individual European markets and the company's EMEA headquarters, taking on pricing, category management and market-expansion assignments.

What Will Her Priorities Include?

According to the announcement, Kortmann's early priorities will include establishing a long-term vision for SIRIO's European business and converting it into a defined growth strategy, along with strengthening the organization's operational execution across individual country markets and its relationships with brand-partner customers. The company also indicated that expanding its portfolio of ready-to-launch delivery formats, including gummies, softgels and instant fizzy tablets, will be another area of focus under her leadership.

How Does She View the European Market?

In comments included with the announcement, Kortmann pointed to categories such as longevity, active lifestyle nutrition, beauty-from-within, and women's and children's health as areas of momentum in the European market, and noted that consumers are increasingly seeking multifunctional products that fit into established daily routines. She also described Europe's variations across markets as a factor the company will need to account for as it expands.

“SIRIO Europe has built a strong position by combining its pharmaceutical heritage and global scale with deep specialist expertise, and my focus is on where we take that next,” stated Kortmann. “That means setting a clear long-term vision for the region, defining the strategy to deliver it and building an organization that can execute consistently across every market we operate in. At the same time, we have a clear commitment to our brand partners: continuing to bring innovative concepts and products to market that help them lead their categories.”

What Format Innovations Has SIRIO Europe Introduced Recently?

The leadership change follows a period of active format development at SIRIO Europe. In March 2026, the company introduced LifeChews, a plant-based chewable jelly tablet intended to improve delivery of lipid-soluble nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, fat-soluble vitamins, CoQ10 and carotenoids.2 The format relies on a patented dispersion system that produces oil droplets around 5 μm in size, which the company says are comparable to lipid particles in human milk; internal testing reported substantially higher plasma DHA levels and bioavailability compared with a control in omega-3 applications.

In June 2026, SIRIO Europe expanded its FizzyBits line, a water-free, dissolving tablet format first introduced in 2025, into a ten-formulation commercial portfolio spanning metabolic, cognitive, and micronutrient categories.3 The company positioned the expansion around consumer interest in alternatives to traditional pills, citing survey data indicating that a portion of consumers increase their supplement use when more engaging formats are available; the range includes a formulation aimed at the GLP-1 companion segment featuring a studied postbiotic ingredient alongside chromium and B vitamins.
