The newly launched portfolio features 10 dissolving tablet formulations for metabolic, cognitive, and micronutrient support.

Contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) Sirio Europe has announced the comprehensive launch of its FizzyBits platform.1 Originally introduced in 2025 as a novel delivery format, the technology consists of instant fizzy tablets that dissolve directly on the tongue without the requirement of water. The company has expanded the platform into a ready-to-launch commercial portfolio featuring 10 distinct formulations aimed at a variety of core health categories.

Why Are Pill Fatigue and New Formats Driving the Market?

The strategic expansion of the portfolio directly aligns with a shifting commercial landscape driven by consumer preferences for alternative dosage forms. Sirio cites data from the Innova Trends Survey 2026, which states that 22% of consumers report increasing their overall supplement intake specifically because of the availability of improved, more engaging formats.2 Sirio developed the water-free, dissolving tablet format to mitigate the widespread issue of pill fatigue, providing a convenient option for modern, on-the-go consumer routines that ultimately supports consistent daily usage.

What Are the Key Formulations Included in the Portfolio?

The ten-formulation range targets several primary health sectors, including metabolic health, cognitive performance, and everyday micronutrient delivery:

  • Aeion BodyBalance: Positioned at the premium end of the range, this formulation targets the rapidly growing GLP-1 companion market, with metabolic and glucose support. It features BPL1, a clinically studied postbiotic, alongside chromium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12. In a randomized controlled trial, three months of supplementation with the BPL1 postbiotic demonstrated reductions in visceral fat, waist circumference, and insulin resistance in abdominally obese individuals.3 The daily serving is two tablets, with chromium contributing to normal blood glucose levels and the B vitamins supporting energy-yielding metabolism.
  • FizzyBits Pulse: Formulated to address common nutritional challenges, this product delivers iron alongside vitamin C, vitamin B6, and folic acid to support normal energy-yielding metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The formulation includes vitamin C to improve iron absorption, and utilizes a natural lemon flavor to mask the metallic aftertaste common to iron supplements.
  • FizzyBits Spark: A caffeine-free performance and cognitive formula that combines 50 mg of L-theanine derived from green tea leaf extract with B vitamins and zinc. Formulated with a menthol finish, it aims to support daily cognitive function and psychological well-being for consumers seeking focus and balance throughout the day.

The broader pre-developed range covers standard categories such as vitamins C, D, and B12, multivitamins, energy, recovery, and joint health.

What Is the Commercial Application and Value for Brands?

According to Alexej Dens, Sales Director of Sirio Europe, the pre-developed platform is structured to accelerate time-to-market for brand owners looking to differentiate themselves. “The formats are developed, the regulatory groundwork is done, and the sensory profile is already proven with consumers,” Dens explains. “For brands that want to move quickly without compromising on quality or compliance, that combination is genuinely difficult to find elsewhere. Crucially, the enjoyable, water-free format supports everyday use — helping consumers build consistent routines over time, which is what ultimately underpins long-term value for both brands and their customers.”

Manufacturing is anchored at Sirio Europe’s GMP-certified facility in Pritzwalk, Germany, which was established in 1992 and services both the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries. The Pritzwalk facility holds nine international quality and safety certifications. Parent company SIRIO Pharma Co., Ltd supports the launch of over 400 products and 4,000 ready-to-launch formulations annually on a global scale, backed by a dedicated workforce that includes over 330 R&D specialists and more than 160 quality testing personnel.
