Vitamin Angels Names Brandie Conforti New Chief Development Officer Amid Leadership Expansion and Industry Partnerships

Vitamin Angels, a global health nonprofit focused on maternal and child nutrition, has appointed Brandie Conforti as its new Chief Development Officer, effective July 13, 2026.¹ Conforti brings more than two decades of experience building high-performing organizations, fostering partnerships, and supporting the impact of mission-driven organizations, a press release highlights. The organization framed the hire as part of a broader response to shifting funding models and increasing demand for cross-sector collaboration in the global health sector, as it works to diversify support while strengthening its mission long-term.

The organization, founded in 1994, reports impacting the lives of 74 million women and children in approximately 65 countries, including all 50 US states, each year.

What Will Conforti's Role Involve?

Conforti will lead Vitamin Angels' global development strategy, overseeing philanthropy, corporate partnerships, institutional giving, strategic donor engagement, and development operations, as a member of the organization's Executive Leadership Team. What Experience Does She Bring to the Position?

Conforti's background includes senior roles at several international nonprofits. Most recently, as Chief Development and Partnerships Officer at Accion, she launched a new three-year development strategy. Earlier, at JA Worldwide, she built the organization's global development operation from scratch and helped secure its largest grant on record; she has also held leadership positions at Partners In Health and WorldBoston.

How Does This Fit With Other Recent Leadership Changes?

The move comes roughly two months after Vitamin Angels announced another executive appointment.² In May 2026, the organization named Sam Wehbe as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, a role he took on June 1, 2026, drawing on his background in financial management, organizational change, systems modernization, and running mission-driven organizations amid complex operating conditions. Also a member of the executive leadership team, Wehbe oversees finance, risk management, compliance, and technology, with a mandate to build the operational discipline needed for sustainable growth. Over a 20-year career, he has held senior posts at organizations including Medical Teams International, Social Impact, Nexant Inc, Creative Associates International, and John Snow, Inc., managing international programs across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the United States.

What Does This Mean for Supplement Manufacturers?

For supplement manufacturers, Vitamin Angels' leadership expansion coincides with continued growth in its industry partnerships. In 2025, global nutraceutical CDMO Sirio Pharma announced a partnership with Vitamin Angels, which involved an annual donation to help the organization continue yo help expand its nutrition assistance work for underserved communities in the U.S. and abroad. Mark Dewis, general manager of Sirio's Americas business unit, said the company's commitment to health goes beyond manufacturing and that the partnership lets Sirio reach vulnerable populations who need consistent access to essential nutrition. Brittany Gunther, Vitamin Angels' director of partnerships, said the collaboration was helping deliver nutrition support to mothers and children facing malnutrition risk.
