GC Rieber VivoMega (Norway), a supplier of omega-3 concentrate ingredients, has named Snorre Glærum Strand its new CEO. Strand previously served as finance manager and then CFO for GC Rieber VivoMega.
Strand holds an MSc in Economics from the Norwegian Business School BI. His previous experience also includes working at AstraZeneca and Nordea Bank. At GC Rieber VivoMega, he worked closely with now-former CEO Jan Roger Bjerkestrand.
“As Snorre steps into the CEO role, the owners of GC Rieber have elected former CEO Jan Roger Bjerkestrand as the new chairman of the board of GC Rieber VivoMega, allowing for a smooth transition and continuation of the fruitful collaboration between the two,” the firm’s press release states. Bjerkestrand added that Strand “has been fundamental in planning the ongoing expansion of the VivoMega production facilities in Kristiansund, where we aim to double the production.”
