Kerry acquires probiotic, botanical, omega-3 ingredient supplier Biosearch Life
Biosearch’s ingredients will be folded into Kerry’s global ProActive Health ingredient portfolio.

Kerry Group (Beloit, WI) has acquired Grenada, Spain–based biotechnology company Biosearch Life. Biosearch Life manufactures and distributes functional ingredients, including probiotics from breast milk, botanical extracts, and omega-3 oils.
Biosearch’s ingredients will be folded into Kerry’s global ProActive Health ingredients portfolio. “Biosearch Life extends our probiotics offering with the addition of the science-backed Hereditum strains and further broadens our portfolio with the Exxentia range of functional botanical extracts and Eupoly-3 natural omega-3 oils,” said Neil Cracknell, president, Kerry Applied Health & Nutrition, in a press release. He said the newly added ingredients expand Kerry’s solutions for health needs such as healthy aging, joint health, and digestive health.
