Balchem Brings New Branded Ingredient Research to SupplySide Global 2026
The company says it will feature studies on vitamin K2, choline, folate, and MSM, along with beverage concepts and a first-time pet corner.
Balchem says it will return to SupplySide Global 2026, October 28–30 in Las Vegas, to highlight branded ingredients backed by newly published research.1 The company, which announced its plans September 30, says its booth 5565 presence will address growing interest in daily performance, long-term vitality, and GLP-1 companion products.
“Today, ingredients need to do more than deliver efficacy. They need to earn trust,” stated Dominik Mattern, vice president of marketing, business development and science, Balchem Human Nutrition and Health. “At SupplySide Global, we're demonstrating how scientific validation, trusted branded ingredients, and direct consumer activation can work together. From clinical research to partnerships with organizations such as the New York Jets and FC Bayern Women, we're showing how ingredient brands can help convert science into consumer demand.”
What Research Will Balchem Highlight?
Balchem says it will spotlight recent studies across its portfolio. For K2VITAL, which the company describes as a patented vitamin K2 MK-7 that is typically 99.8% all-trans, the research includes work on cardiovascular health and potential post-exercise neuromuscular signaling support in older adults.
For VitaCholine, Balchem cites what it calls the first fMRI study showing how the choline ingredient influences brain network efficiency in postmenopausal women. The paper cited in the release is described as a pilot study. The company also plans to present new data on Optifolin+, a choline-enriched folate, and new research on OptiMSM® and female athletic performance.
Which Products and Formats Will Be Featured?
Albion Minerals’ Creatine MagnaPower combines creatine and magnesium in one formulation, which Balchem says delivers superior muscular performance benefits. The company will also show its Albion Meta Mag magnesium bisglycinate range, including a new high-density form designed for capsules.
On the beverage side, Balchem plans concepts including a VitaCholine-fortified Charged Frappé Coffee and VitalBlend, a customizable lipid-based powder technology. Visitors can also sample protein-enriched chocolate clusters made with Milk Protein Z-Crisps. For the first time at the show, Balchem Animal Nutrition & Health will host a pet corner.
Where Can Attendees Hear From Balchem?
Jason Wielgoszinski, sales director for powders at Balchem, will present “Unlocking Opportunities for Fortification: Trends, Applications and Innovation in Functional Foods & Beverages” on Thursday, October 29, from 11:30 to 11:50 a.m. PDT. The talk will take place at Product Development Theater A, booth 7915.
What Do Earlier Findings Say About Optifolin+?
The article noted that Balchem’s figures for a 98% methyl capacity and a sevenfold methyl agent advantage over other folates were internally calculated. It also said the cell-model findings describe biological plausibility, not confirmed effects in people, and that no human methylation trial of the ingredient had been published.
A separate crossover study in 24 healthy adults found Optifolin+ reached peak blood concentrations faster and produced higher folate status markers than folic acid, but did not measure methylation.
