The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED; Salt Lake City, UT) published its annual Global EPA and DHA Omega-3 Ingredient Market Report 2021, which details the EPA and DHA omega-3 industry's raw materials segment of the supply chain.
According to the report, in 2020, the omega-3 market increased in volume by 1% to 110,802 metric tons, compared to the previous year (109,708 metric tons). The value of omega-3 ingredients increased 3.6% to $1,409,000 US, compared to the previous year ($1,359,800). The full 2021 report includes over 100 charts and tables with forecasts through 2023, as well as accompanying Excel documents that include all the raw data, and a forecast generator tool.
