The company plans to unveil a clinically studied ingredient on opening day and host a longevity session alongside its cognitive, mobility, and metabolic health portfolio.

Givaudan announced it will highlight metabolic health and longevity, including the reveal of a new botanical ingredient, at booth 3264 at SupplySide Global 2026.1 The company says the ingredient will be unveiled on opening day and is clinically shown to support healthy weight management and healthy blood sugar and lipid levels.

Why Is Givaudan Focusing on Metabolic Health?

Givaudan says GLP-1 trends are changing the wellness market, and that consumers increasingly want proactive ways to maintain their quality of life over more years. The company defines metabolic health as supporting healthy blood sugar and lipid levels, and it positions the category as a foundation for healthy longevity.

Timothée Olagne, head of marketing for Givaudan’s Health & Functional business unit, said longevity “is evolving beyond healthy aging into a proactive approach to lifelong wellness. Consumers are increasingly focused on staying mentally sharp, physically active and metabolically healthy throughout their lives. SupplySide Global is an opportunity to explore how science-backed botanical solutions can help meet these emerging needs.”

Which Ingredients Will Givaudan Feature?

According to the company, the booth will group its products by benefit area:

  • Cognitive performance: Cereboost
  • Mobility and bone health: TurmiPure Gold and Lifenol
  • Metabolic health: Svetol, OatWell, Glucevia, and the new ingredient

More than 20 Givaudan specialists from nutrition, application development, marketing, and product development will be on hand throughout the show to talk through formulation approaches, the supporting science, and ways to position its ingredients in the market. The company says staff will also share consumer and market trends shaping longevity-focused products, including opportunities in what it calls the rapidly growing metabolic health market.

What Will the Longevity Session Cover?

Givaudan experts and 2 guest experts will lead an educational session on metabolic health as a driver of product innovation in the longevity market. It is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, from 12:45 to 1:15 p.m. at the Innovation Stage, booth 4815. The company says the session will examine how rising consumer interest in longevity is increasing demand for proactive wellness products and why metabolic health is becoming crucial to products aimed at a healthy lifespan.

What Did Givaudan Announce Earlier This Year?

Nutritional Outlook reported in April that Givaudan was highlighting a peer-reviewed study of Zensera, its ingredient derived from lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.), published in Therapeutic Advances in Psychopharmacology in February.2 The company positions Zensera as a nature-based option for supporting calmness and mental performance in high-pressure settings.

What Did the Trial Examine and Find?

The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial enrolled 106 healthy adults ages 18 to 40 with moderate stress. Participants faced periods of high cognitive demand and were assessed at several points over one day after taking a single 300 mg dose of Zensera or placebo. Measures included subjective calmness and mental fatigue, an auditory verbal learning test, a task-switching test, the Rapid Visual Information Processing task, and heart rate and blood pressure at the end of testing.

The article reported statistically significant improvements on complex cognitive tasks with Zensera versus placebo, particularly at five hours after the dose, which the researchers considered the peak of cognitive overload. Calmness did not differ overall between groups, though the authors described “tentative evidence for protective mood effects” in the form of greater calmness recovery between test batteries. The researchers also noted an effect on diastolic blood pressure and called for more research on lemon balm’s mechanisms.
