FrieslandCampina launches new line of wellness ingredient
The first ingredient of the range to be launched, Biotis Gut Health, is a prebiotic ingredient.

FrieslandCampina Ingredients (Amersfoort, The Netherlands) launched a new portfolio range of health benefit solutions, Biotis Health Benefit Solutions, to support overall health and wellness and work with the body’s natural processes, supporting essential functions from maternal health to sleep, immunity, and gut health. The portfolio is designed to help brand owners develop foods, beverages, and supplements with substantiated health benefits.
“The launch of Biotis Health Benefit Solutions is a really exciting development for FrieslandCampina Ingredients and indeed for the industry as whole,” Vicky Davies, global marketing director, performance and active nutrition, at FrieslandCampina Ingredients, said in a press release. “We believe it marks a whole new era of ingredient science. The first ingredient launch will be Biotis Gut Health, which encourages a healthy microbiome and improves digestive health using a prebiotic. Other ingredient solutions for sleep, immune, and maternal health will be unveiled throughout 2020.
