In a recent press release, TSI Group introduced a new creatine processing technology called OptiCreatine. The technology is intended to overcome the challenges presented by current creatine monohydrate powder, including grittiness, precipitation in the solution, and insolubility.

“OptiCreatine is redefining what consumers expect from creatine,” explained TSI optimized ingredients product line president Will Ji, in the press release. “Our technology eliminates such common complaints about creatine including poor solubility and related stomach discomfort. We’ve taken one of the most researched sports ingredients and made it cleaner, smoother, and easier to enjoy, reducing the bloating, without grit or cloudy residue.”

According to the company, within 30–60 seconds OptiCreatine creates a clear and stable solution, and offers consistency for manufacturing and flexibility for product formats including chewable tablets and gummies, effervescent pellets, granules, and pre-mixed products. Other ingredients can also be paired with the creatine, including branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), collagen, protein, glycerol, and caffeine, along with various flavorings.

“This is the next evolution of creatine,” stated Ji. “Whether it’s in a chewable, a gummy or a ready-to-mix powder, OptiCreatine adapts seamlessly to any format.”

The growing interest in women’s fitness and sports nutrition along with longevity and cognitive health influenced the creation of the new creatine processing technology, providing more options for consumers.

“TSI doesn’t just follow trends, we create them,” Ji added. “OptiCreatine is proof that innovation in legacy categories such as creatine is not only possible, but essential for meeting today’s evolving consumer expectations.”

TSI Group will also be present at Vitafoods Europe at Booth 4C68 to demonstrate OptiCreatine.
