Univar expands distribution of Kalsec ingredients to Colombia

Univar Solutions Colombia SAS (Bogota, Colombia) has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Kalsec Inc. (Kalamazoo, MI) to distribute Kalsec’s ingredients in Colombia. This includes Kalsec’s specialty food ingredients such as taste and sensory solutions, natural colors and coloring foodstuffs, and food-protection ingredients.

“This agreement builds upon our successful existing partnership with Kalsec in Europe and Mexico, enhances our value in core technical applications, and illustrates our continued commitment to sustainability,” said Kevin Hack, Univar Solutions’ global vice president of food ingredients. “We are excited to introduce Colombian customers to Kalsec’s complete line of naturally sourced extracts, colors, and antioxidants, providing them with the opportunity to use these ingredients to develop innovative food and beverage products for consumers.”

Univar’s services include working closely with customers to help problem solve and develop innovative formulations, backed by both its expertise in culinary science as well as application-development support.
