Unibar Corp. partnered with Health Thru Nutrition to launch a capsanthin-based supplement using CapsiClear, a patent-pending combination of carotenoids standardized to 50 percent capsanthin, for eye health formulations.

Unibar Corp. (Houston, TX) partnered with Health Thru Nutrition to launch a capsanthin-based supplement using CapsiClear, a patent-pending combination of carotenoids standardized to 50 percent capsanthin, for eye health formulations. It will be distributed by Threshold Enterprises and UNFI.

“We are excited to have partnered with Health Thru Nutrition to make CapsiClear widely available within the U.S. market,” said Sevanti Mehta, president of Unibar, in a press release. “We saw an upsurge in digital screen use last year for occupational, collegiate and entertainment purposes, meaning many adults may be at a higher risk of vision complications. The launch of Health Thru Nutrition’s product happens at a perfect time to help.”

According to Unibar Corp., CapsiClear increases macular pigment optical density, protects the eyes from the effects of blue and white light, improves photostress recovery for decreased eye strain, and reduce intraocular pressure (IOP), vital for long-term vision health.

“When we learned about CapsiClear we were intrigued to learn that it had a more expansive list of benefits for eye health,” said Marko Rosa, CEO of Health Thru Nutrition, in a press release. “We pride ourselves on providing our customers with supplements made from the best ingredients that nature has to offer. CapsiClear is a perfect fit with our brand as a powerful source of ocular nutrition with proven scientific results.”

CapsiClear is manufactured according to ISO, cGMP, HAACP, and PMDA requirements and holds self-affirmed GRAS status. It is free of all major allergies and is non-GMO, gluten- and soy-free.
