Companion-animal supplement association the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC; Sun City West, AZ) has accepted nutritional ingredient supplier Stratum Nutrition (Carthage, MO) as a “Preferred Supplier.” With NASC Preferred Supplier status, companies are prequalified to supply ingredients to NASC’s nearly 170 Primary Suppliers of finished products. Preferred Supplier status indicates that a company adheres to NASC's quality standards and agrees to have multiple batches of ingredients tested by an NASC-approved laboratory.
Stratum supplies joint-health and other ingredients to the human and animal nutrition markets. Its ingredients include the NEM brand of eggshell membrane, the organic ESC brand of eggshell calcium, curcumin 95, and eggshell collagen.
Stratum points out that only approximately 80 companies have so far been accepted as NASC Preferred Suppliers.
