Each company will broaden its portfolio by offering complementary equipment from the other's.
Two equipment giants are joining forces with a new strategic alliance in the North American market. MG America (Fairfield, NJ), a supplier of processing and packaging equipment, and Romaco North America (Hamilton, NJ), a supplier of life sciences equipment, will now cross-promote and sell complementary production machinery from each other’s portfolios. The companies say this allows them to supply a more comprehensive range of equipment to their customer bases.
They note that the partnership focuses on “complementary solutions”—that is, select types of equipment that broadens each company’s offerings.
For MG America, this means that the company “will now be offering its customers several packaging platforms from Romaco, including popular cartoners such as the Promatic P 91 intermittent motion and Promatic PC 4200 continuous motion models. On the processing side, MG America will also be showcasing Romaco’s Kilian series of tablet presses, along with a variety of sophisticated coating and granulation equipment.”
“In turn,” they continue, “Romaco will highlight MG America’s full line of capsule-filling machinery—including the recently introduced Essentia, a compact, versatile unit suitable for medium- to large-batch manufacturing that offers minimal production floorspace allocation, easy cleaning, and simplified maintenance. Romaco will also be able to sell a wide range of MG America packaging equipment, including case packers, tray formers, sachet machines, and palletizers.”
In addition, the firms add that customers will benefit from the field service technicians and support teams that each company offers in the U.S. and Canada.
