Gencor names John Quilter as new CEO

In a May 13, 2025, press release, Gencor announced that John Quilter will be the company’s new CEO. Prior to Gencor, Quilter was the founder and CEO of the strategic advisory firm BiaQ and has collaborated with Nestlé, Danone, Unilever, and other corporations throughout his career.

“I am thrilled about joining the team and having the opportunity to work with such a reputable and science-driven company like Gencor,” stated Quilter, in the press release. “I look forward to our continued growth together, and I am very excited about our future.”

Quilter holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science, a master’s degree in food science, and a Professional Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin, Ireland.

Also noted was his extensive experience in natural products, science-backed ingredients, scaling business through mergers, and international experience in Ireland, the UK, and New Zealand. During his 18 years working with Kerry – in various roles that include global portfolio vice president of ProActive Health as well as North America applied health and nutrition leader – Quilter and his team created the ProActive Health portfolio, which included acquisitions of Biothera, Ganeden, Bio-K+, Biosearch Life, and Natreon.

Founders and co-owners of Gencor, Jith Veeravalli and Ramasamy Venkatesh, will remain on the Gencor board of directors.
