Gelita to highlight its range of collagen and gelatin solutions at Vitafoods Europe 2023

Gelita (Eberbach, Germany) will show off its range of collagen and gelatin ingredients at the Vitafoods Europe trade show taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, on May 9-12 (Booth I110). The company’s gelatin and collagen peptide ingredients offer health and formulating benefits.

On the collagen side, Gelita will demonstrate how its targeted bioactive collagen peptides for joint, both, muscle, and skin health can serve the healthy-aging market. Gelita’s collagen peptide ingredients include Fortibone, which supports the bone collagen matrix; Fortigel, which helps regenerate cartilage tissue; Tendoforte, which helps maintain ligament health and flexibility; and Verisol for producing collagen in the skin.

At Vitafoods, Gelita will also Confixx, its “next generation” gelatin designed to ease gummy supplement manufacturing. Confixx is a fast-setting gelatin ingredient for use in “gentle, starch-free gummy production.” It is also suited for formats like chews and jelly.

Finally, the company will talk about how its Gelita EC offers a one-step production process for enteric capsules. “We well as enabling a cost-effective, single-step production process, Gelita EC gelatin negates the need to ‘overdose’ active ingredients to compensate for loss in the gastric passage,” the company says, noting that Gelita EC can withstand the stomach’s acid content and can go on to enter the small intestine.
