
Funtrition and Sofgen to showcase innovative gummy and softgel solutions at SupplySide West 2024
The two companies have been expanding their operations and technology to meet the needs of the global nutraceutical industry.
In a recent press release, Funtrition and Sofgen, two contract manufacturers and advanced gummy and softgel technologies developers, respectively, announced the ingredients and products they will showcase at SuppySide West 2024 in Las, Vegas, NV October 30 and 31, 2024.
For example, in line with the growing demand for berberine in the marketplace, Funtrition, in collaboration with NNB Nutrition, will be showcasing dihydroberberine gummies at the SupplySide West Tasting bar. These gummies contain NNB's GlucoVantage to support healthy blood sugar. According to the press release, this ingredient offers up to five times the effectiveness of standard berberine.
Additionally, Funtrition will be showcasing its robust portfolio of gummy solutions, including: GummyGels (Gelatin Gummies), Pec-G (Pectin Gummies), Agar-G (Agar Gummies), and GummieX (Mixed-matrix Heat-Resistant Gummies). Brand new to its portfolio are Air-G (Aeriated Gummies that allow for a better mineral incorporation) and Layer-G (Two-layered Gummies designed to combine ingredients that normally couldn’t be combined).
In the case of Sofgen, the company will be showcasing its novel and patented technology called Unigel, which is designed for fixed-dose combinations in softgels that allow for multipurpose supplements with stacked benefits. Sofgen will also showcase Chewgels, a chewable softgel format for consumers that have difficulty swallowing or prefer on-the-go products.
Attendees will be able to sample more than 20 novel product developments from these two companies at the show. These product target a number of health categories, including women's health, kid's health, and active lifestyle, and will feature trending ingredients such as beetroot, curcumin, magnesium, tapioca fiber, super greens, and more.
Notably, both brands are expanding their capabilities in North America to meet growing demands for gummy and softgel products. The expansion includes increasing capacity in addition to manufacturing, development, packaging, and warehousing capabilities to better serve their partners.
