From gummy to softgel: Sirio expands magnesium offerings with X Mg range product line

Sirio, a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) for advanced nutraceutical softgel and gummy offerings, announced in a recent press release that the company would be returning this year to CPHI, where they will showcase their newly expanded X Mg range of magnesium supplements. At CPHI 2025, which is taking place in Frankfurt, Germany, between October 28, 2025 to October 30, 2025, attendees will be able to visit Sirio at stand #6.0C6, to learn more about their six products and magnesium’s wellness health benefits.

The Interest on Magnesium

According to a 2025 FMCG Gurus report, magnesium is one of the most “sought after minerals in the modern nutraceuticals market,”¹ Magnesium bisglycinate, which is a very absorbable type of magnesium in salt form, increased between 2021 and 2025 by almost 40%.² Consumers were interested in the supplement for the potential health benefits on helping support sleep, the immune system, muscle health, and energy.³

Sirio’s X Mg Magnesium Solutions

Sirio is now offering six ready-to-launch concepts through their new X Mg range product line. At CPHI, Sirio will be highlighting these new concepts, some of these options include the combination of three sources of magnesium.

As mentioned in the press release, some of the new products offered by Sirio include:

• X³ Mg Relax gummy: This gummy was created to potentially offer stress relief. The product’s formulation helps offer a more pleasant option due to magnesium’s bitterness and is often prone to sweating, which has made it challenging to formulate the supplement.
• X³ Mg Active softgel: This supplement was designed to help muscle health In addition to its three magnesium sources, the X3 Mg Active softgel also contains inflammation-fighting turmeric and a powerful blend of vitamins C, D, and K to boost your muscle, bone, joint, and recovery benefits
• X Mg sleep complex gummy: This formulation mixes magnesium citrate with botanical extracts that are utilized for having natural calming effects.
• Xtra Magnesium gummy, FizzyBits Recovery: These are effervescent tablets that can be taken without the need for water.
• HydraBites Energy gummy: This supplement features vitamins B1, B3, and B6. Vitamins B1 and B3 are known for helping the body convert carbohydrates to energy, while B1 also contributes to heart health.

New Thailand Manufacturing Facility

Sirio mentioned in an August 2025 press release⁴ that the company is anticipating the markets in India, Thailand, and Indonesia to grow over the next few years for the nutritional space. Australia is seeing consumer preferences targeting muscle gain and recovery products. With consumers looking for “convenient, high-efficacy formats as alternatives to traditional powders.” Sirio has launched products to help meet demand with products such as, high-dosage performance gummies that include creatine, protein, and BCAAs that don’t require pills or needing to mix powder. In Thailand, active lifestyles are on the rise which is sparking interest in micro effervescent vitamins and sports gummies. Indonesia’s market has seen a demand for halal-certified supplements and Zone IVB-stable formulations. In India, vegetarian soft gels and beauty supplements made of collagen and biotin have become interests for consumers.
