Forest Remedies launches first vegan gummies with Ahiflower oil
Forest Remedies launches two new vegan gummy supplements with Ahiflower from Natures Crops International.

Forest Remedies launched two functional gummy supplements containing Ahiflower oil, a regeneratively grown vegan alternative omega-3, -6, -9 oil from Natures Crops International (NCI; Winston-Salem, NC). According to NCI, one acre of Ahiflower harvest produces as much omega-rich oil as 320,000 anchovies without contributing to overfishing of marine wildlife.
The supplements include Multi Omega 3-6-9 Ahiflower Oil, which supports heart, brain, skin, and joint health and Elderberry Immune Multi Omega 3-6-9 + Ahiflower Oil, which provides immune and wellness support by combining omega-rich ahiflower oil with antioxidant-rich elderberry extract. Forest Remedies leverages innovative developments in formulation, blending and processing to help to minimize oxidation and allow for stable dosages and flavor profiles. The two supplements are packaged in biodegradable, plastic-free recycled paperboard and eco-sourced wood cellulose fibers.

New review from BAPP estimates adulteration of five popular botanicals
September 10th 2024The study focused on the adulteration of black cohosh rhizome, echinacea root or herb, elder berry, ginkgo leaf, and turmeric root/rhizome. The authors reviewed 78 publications with a total of 2995 samples. Of the 2995 samples, 818 were reported to be adulterated or mislabeled.
