Food and beverage development company Imbibe (Niles, IL) is expanding its facility in Niles, IL, growing its capabilities and initiating a state-of-the-art sensory and consumer insights center to help its clients create new products.
In late February, the company broke ground on what will be a new 17,000-sq-ft space. “The latest move comes during a period of notable growth for the company,” it said in a press release.
Imbibe has continued to build out its capabilities. Since 2014, it began also serving the frozen dessert, no- and low-alcohol, and sweet food markets, helping companies with sweetness modification, maskers, and taste modulation. In April 2021, the company also launched an ingredients division called Ingredients by Imbibe.
“Imbibe has continued on a pace of rapid growth, both in our business and in our headcount,” said Andy Dratt, chief commercial officer, in a press release.
The new building will open in Fall 2022. In addition to its sensory and consumer insights center, the building features a video and podcasting studio.
