Elixinol (Denver, CO), a global CBD manufacturer, has launched Organic Balance USDA certified CBD tincture. Elixinol’s products are crafted with whole-hemp extract, so they are not only rich in CBD but also boast a complete range of complementary cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes.
"We’re on the forefront of a wellness revolution, and the USDA Certified Organic designation on Elixinol’s Organic Balance showcases our commitment to delivering the highest quality, full-spectrum CBD in every bottle,” said Leif Harrison, Elixinol's CEO, Americas, in a press release. “Elixinol knows this is an important designation to our customers. The organic certification is a rigorous and closely monitored federal process, and many consumers look for the seal as an added assurance of quality that their products are non-GMO and free of toxic pesticides.”
In order to receive certification, the hemp must be grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. Growers must employ tillage and cultivation practices that maintain or improve soil health and minimize erosion through crop rotation or the use of cover crops. To receive the designation, CBD products must be extracted from hemp using either the CO2 or the lipid method. Elixinol uses the lipid method, which involves steeping the hemp in certified organic coconut oil.
Elixinol works closely with its farmers in Colorado to ensure the plants conform to the company's exacting standards. USDA Organic Certification was made possible by the 2018 Farm Bill, but the hemp used by Elixinol is already certified organic by the U.S. Hemp Authority and is also verified GMO-free. Elixinol’s products are also approved by Realm of Caring, an organization that supports the use of health therapies using cannabinoids. All of Elixinol's products undergo rigorous, pharmaceutical-grade testing to ensure the absence of microbiological contamination, heavy metals, and pesticides and the presence of Elixinol's unique terpene profile.
