BGG World completes expansion that doubles its astaxanthin farm’s production capacity

BGG World (Irvine, CA) announced completion of the company’s expansion project to double the capacity of its astaxanthin farm. This is the second major expansion of the company’s microalgae farm in the last two years and doubles production capacity of the company’s flagship AstaZine natural astaxanthin ingredients.

Expansion of the 100% glass tube photobioreactor microalgae farm started in May 2022. “The expansion is located in the same pristine region as the existing farm, approximately one kilometer from the current facility,” the firm’s press release states.

It adds: “BGG’s farm was already the world’s largest, so doubling the size again has made BGG far-and-away the market leader in natural astaxanthin from microalgae.”
