Whey protein ingredients supplier Arla Foods Ingredients (Viby J, Denmark) will demonstrate its expertise in developing ingredients for clear beverages. The company will showcase its latest clear protein-beverage samples at the SupplySide West trade show in Las Vegas this week, at booth #6549.
As part of the firm’s new “Go Clear” campaign, it will offer three new clear whey powder concepts to show attendees. These include Go Premium, a clear shake for performance nutrition featuring Arla’s Lacprodan BLG-100 pure beta-lactoglobulin; Go Natural, a fruit-infused water shake made with 100% whey protein isolate Lacprodan ISO.WaterShake; and Go Fresh, a lemonade-flavored shake featuring Lacprodan ClearShake 100% whey protein isolate. These samples target individuals of different activity levels, ranging from performance-nutrition shoppers to “lifestyle-nutrition consumers who aren’t specifically looking for a post-workout solution but still want the benefits of whey,” the firm says.
The company supplies whey protein ingredients for a wide range of finished products. “Today’s sports nutrition market is hugely diverse,” pointed out Troels Nørgaard Laursen, director for health and performance at Arla Foods Ingredients, in a press release. “While shakes are popular across the board, every consumer group has its own preferences—from the hardcore enthusiasts looking for premium ingredients and functionality, to ‘healthy lifestyle’ consumers who prioritize taste and naturality.
