$250 million New Albany production facility opened by Pharmavite

Pharmavite recently had the grand opening for its new production facility.¹ The new 225,000 square-foot manufacturing and research & development facility cost $250 million and is located in New Albany, Ohio. It is Pharmavite’s first location in the area and has created 225 jobs with the possibility of expanding the property in the future.

“Throughout our more than 50-year history, Pharmavite has established its position as the industry leader in producing high-quality vitamins and supplements here in the United States, and this new facility enables us to meet the growing demand for Nature Made vitamins and support consumers across the country on their health and wellness journeys,” said Pharmavite CEO, Jeff Boutelle.¹ “We chose New Albany for this significant investment after an extensive search and we’re proud to be a part of the emerging science, innovation, and technology hub in Central Ohio, and honored to be welcomed into the wellness-focused community.”

The New Albany facility has already gotten to work producing products for brands that include Nature Made, Bonafide, Nature Made Wellblends, Equelle, MegaFood and Uqora.¹ Some of these products include vitamin gummies which is one of their top types of vitamins and supplements. Since 2019, the category has nearly doubled in size.² As mentioned in the press release¹, in 2024, Nature Made was the #1-dollar growth brand in vitamin gummies. With the new production facility, the organization will help further research and innovation capabilities through Pharmavite’s Gummies Innovation Center of Excellence, as well as increase Nature Made’s accessibility to consumers.

In 2023, the facility broke ground and Pharmavite has continued to play a role as a strong community partner in Central Ohio by assisting with volunteer opportunities, local organizations, sponsorships, partnerships, and more.¹ Some of the local organizations include, the Columbus Crew, Mid-Ohio Collective, Johnstown Lifestyle, Pelotonia, The Garden for All, and Healthy New Albany.
