Ingredients supplier Nature’s Power Nutraceuticals (NP Nutra, Gardena, CA) has debuted six new “trending ingredients” to complement its existing line of botanical ingredients and extracts.

At the top of the new-ingredients list is organic baobab, a “pleasant-tasting powder” made from the baobab fruit, which NP Nutra says is especially rich in vitamin C, potassium, calcium, fiber, magnesium, pectin, and polyphenols. The firm is also rolling out an organic alfalfa juice powder and a sea buckthorn juice powder. The Alfalfa product is rich in protein, chlorophyll, enzymes that may support digestive health, and saponins that may help maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Meanwhile, the sea buckthorn juice powder contains protein, 10 different vitamins, 18 amino acids, 24 trace elements, and “a high concentration of certain rare essential fatty acids,” NP Nutra explains.

Two elderberry products will also be joining the firm’s line of ingredients, both of which offer high levels of vitamins A, B, and C, as well as phytonutrients and flavonoids. These are NP Nutra’s new elderberry juice powder and elderberry freeze-dried powder.

Finally, the firm is also rolling out an organic hemp oil, which it describes as a “superior source of fatty acids, antioxidants, carotene, phytosterols, phospholipids, chlorophyll, and minerals such as iron, zinc, calcium, and magnesium.”
