Stratum, Clasado to launch prebiotic-postbiotic gummy supplement at 2023 SupplySide West show

Clasado Biosciences (Berkshire, UK) and ingredient distributor Stratum Nutrition (Carthage, MO) have partnered to launch a prebiotic-postbiotic gummy supplement prototype at next week’s SupplySide West trade show in Las Vegas. The gummy supplement features Clasado’s Bimuno galactooligosaccharide (GOS) prebiotic ingredient and LBiome, a Lactobacillus LB postbiotic ingredient from Stratum.

“The gummy concept is a technical showcase designed to demonstrate to formulators what’s possible in the rapidly expanding biotics category,” stated Frederic Narbel, vice president of sales, B2B, at Clasado Biosciences, in a press release. He added, “Consumers appreciate the convenience and simplicity of the gummy format, and by combining Bimuno GOS and LBiome in one product, we create a comprehensive solution that targets better gut health, as well as supporting areas of gastrointestinal and cognitive health.”

Both ingredients have been clinically studied to show digestive health benefits. The new prototype will be displayed at Stratum Nutrition’s SupplySide West booth (#4248). The gummy was formulated by Kor Nutra (St. George, UT), a nutraceutical gummy manufacturer.
