Standard Process (Palmyra, WI), a leader in whole food-based supplements, has developed a product called GI Stability which is an innovative formula combining 2’-Fucosyllactose (2’-FL), Collinsonia root, and whole food ingredients beet and okra powder to support healthy gut microbiome. 2’-FL is human milk oligosaccharide (HMO) that resists digestion. HMOs are complex glycans present at high concentrations in human breast milk, contributing to the long-term development, immune health, and microbial population cultivation in infants. These benefits can also extend to adults. The inclusion of Collinsonia root, for example, supports proper elimination for which the herb has a long tradition of use.

“2’-FL selectively feeds a small number of good bacteria, which pairs nicely with the whole food ingredients of beetroot and okra in the formula as staples of a healthy diet,” says Weston Bussler, PhD, nutrition scientist at Standard Process, in a press release. “GI Stability builds on the rich history at Standard Process of developing the latest advances in nutrition support.”

GI Stability comes in the form of an easily chewable wafer that can be used in tandem with a number of other Standard Process supplements, including ChelaCo which support elimination; Epimune Complex which supports immune health; Whole Food Fiber which supports the microbiome; and ProSynbiotic, a probiotic, prebiotic combination.
