Lonza Capsules & Health Ingredients to showcase science-backed ingredients at Natural Products Expo West 2025

At the upcoming Natural Products Expo West show taking place in Anaheim, California, during March 4-7, 2025, Lonza Capsules & Health Ingredients (CHI) announced in a recent press release that they will showcase some of their delivery systems, capsule technology, and ingredients. Additionally, Lonza CHI will unveil some of their new concept-to-market offerings platform which allows brands to create nutraceutical supplements.

As mentioned in the press release, some of these highlights will include:

• UC-II® undenatured type II collagen: This collagen supplement utilized for supporting joint health in both humans and pets. It possesses the ability to maintain its 3-dimensional shape which is because of Lonza CHI’s patented processing method. When taken at 40 mg once a day, this supplement may help aid mobility support and joint health. ^1-4

• New Innovation Services: Through this offering, Lonza CHI is able to help other brands decipher formulation challenges caused by nutraceutical ingredients. For example, figuring out proper balance of formats and combinations, as well as ingredient interactions that may alter delivery and absorption.

•Capsugel® Plantcaps® pullulan capsules: This vegan supplement capsules can be used for plant-based omega-3 oils and are recommended to be used with L-carnitine and choline, which are moisture sensitive ingredients.

•Capsugel® Vcaps® Plus HPMC food-colored capsules: These food-colored capsules use food-derived naturally extracted colorants and offer brands a different option for their vegan products.
