Sterling Technologies specializes in bovine-colostrum derived dairy products and PacMoore Processing specializes in extrusion, spray-drying, and blending.
Glanbia Nutritionals (Chicago) acquired Sterling Technology, a U.S.-based manufacturer bovine-colostrum derived dairy products, for $60 million plus deferred consideration.
“The acquisition of Sterling Technology enhances our bioactive solutions portfolio to support our customers’ needs and growth ambitions,” said Brian Phelan, CEO of Glanbia Nutritionals, in a press release. “We are excited to bring on board the Sterling team and their expertise with this highly beneficial ingredient.”
Additionally, the company acquired PacMoore Processing Technologies (Mooresville, IN), as well as its research and development facility in Gridley, IL, for $53 million. The company’s specialization in extrusion, spray-drying and blending will strengthen Glanbia’s ability to support customers in the healthy snacking and related nutrition segments.
