
Eurofins launches Clean Sport Certified program to support athlete safety and product quality

In an October 20, 2025, press release, Eurofins Supplement Testing and Eurofins Assurance announced the launch of its new product program certification, Clean Sport Certified, aiming to uphold the quality of sports supplements, ingredients, and foods.
What Is the Clean Sport Certified program?
The new certification program expands Eurofins Supplement Testing to more than 400 compounds tested for banned substances in athletics, helping reduce the risk for athletes and other consumers of ingesting adulterated or contaminated products. This is particularly significant when considering products that are controlled by organizations associated with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
As the press release explains, the Eurofins Supplement Testing laboratory provides thorough third-party certification for dietary supplements and food in various industries globally, as well as regulatory navigation support for clients.
Partnership with TruShield Certified
The new program will be conducted in partnership with TruShield Certified, which was introduced by Eagle Diagnostics in April 2025.1,2 After completing the program, product labels can include the Clean Sport and TruShieldTM certification mark.
Intended for athletes, teams, leagues, consumers, coaches, and dietitians who are seeking tested sport supplements and nutraceutical ingredients this program is designed to test dietary supplements and functional food and beverages for the most current list of banned substances, including ones that athletes are may be most at risk for.

Eurofins strengthens global GMP Certification programs
In June 2025, the Eurofins Healthcare Assurance network announced it had expanded its good manufacturing practices (GMP) certification scope programs to include four new scopes intended to promote safety and best practices in various sectors.3 The programs are intended to support buyers and suppliers of dietary ingredients, cosmetics, and over-the-counter drugs achieve U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance.
The four new scopes are:
- ISO 22716:2007 – Good Manufacturing Practices for Cosmetics
- NSF/ANSI 455-3 – 2024 – Good Manufacturing Practices for Cosmetics
- NSF/ANSI 455-4 – 2024 – Good Manufacturing Practices for Over-the Counter Drugs
- 21 CFR 111/117, NSF/ANSI 173, Section 8 – 2024 for Dietary Ingredients
The certification process includes an on-site audit and a quality management systems assessment, covering an evaluation or product categories and manufacturing processes. The use of Eurofins Certification marks follows the initial GMP certification, as well as monitoring and recertification.
A new GMP Certification program to meet product demand
At the beginning of this year, the Eurofins Healthcare Assurance network had originally announced a new GMP certification program, noting the increase in demand for wellness products in the US.4 This certification, which covers 21 CFR 111/117 and NSF/ANSI 455-2-2024 standards, is intended for dietary and food supplements, assisting manufacturers, brands, agents, and retailers achieve compliance goals, increase consumer confidence in the products, and uphold quality commitments.
Eurofins will be present at booth #4231 at SupplySide Global 2025, taking place October 28-30, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Eurofins Assurance network covers Asia, Africa, Europe and South America.
