Ethical Naturals Inc. (ENI) targets key ingredients at SupplySide Global 2025: AlphaWave, GreenGrown, and more

In a recent press release, Ethical Naturals Inc. (ENI) announced that the company would be targeting some of their key products that will include AlphaWave L-Theanine, GreenGrown Glucosamine, Cranberex 15% A-Type PAC cranberry extract, and Polyphenol-C. These product offerings will be showcased at the upcoming SupplySide Global conference taking place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, during October 27, 2025 to October 30, 2025.

AlphaWave L-Theanine

This supplement ingredient is specific to the stress relief category. AlphaWave L-Theanine has been shown to have the potential in supporting cognitive and relaxation benefits from an increase in alpha brainwave technology. With these benefits, formulators may be interested in including it within their supplement and beverage brand products which can help them with the increased demand from consumers for products related to stress relief.

In the US, AlphaWave L-Theanine is Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) Affirmed and is also the only source of L-Theanine that is approved in Australia by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), according to the company’s press release. AlphaWave L-Theanine is additionally fully water soluble, as well as stable at a wide range of pH conditions and temperatures.

GreenGrown Glucosamine

Around 7,000 to 10,000 tons of glucosamine is imported into the US each year and is manufactured from Asian shellfish production residue. “Glucosamine produced through GreenGrown fermentation creates the lightest environment impact. It begins with non-GMO corn glucose combined with a specific bacterium that then produces a fermented liquid with usable levels of glucosamine. High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), a traditional testing method, is not able to decipher whether glucosamine was manufactured from vegetable source materials or shellfish. Ethical Naturals Inc. designed, as well as patented, an Isotopic Signature Carbon Tracing (ISCT) method which can detect glucosamine’s origin.

Cranberex 15% A-Type PAC Cranberry Extract

High-grade UTH products have experienced growing demand, according to the press release. Cranberex 15% A-Type PAC cranberry extract has undergone multiple studies at Rutgers University where Anti-Adhesion Activity (AAA) and potency of Cranberex 15% A-Type PAC cranberry extract has been compared with other brands and showed the product provided additional benefits.

Polyphenol-C

This supplement is a premium, non-GMO, vitamin C and consists of strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, and grape polyphenols. It has been popular amongst European brands.

SupplySide Global 2025

On Monday, October 27, 2025, Cal Bewicke, CEO of Ethical Naturals Inc., will be taking part in a panel with leaders in the industry that will converse on challenges being experienced within the supply chain. These issues will include politics, AI, discovering consistency through tariffs, and diversification. The panel can be found in the Lower Level, Islander Ballroom H.

SupplySide West 2024

At last year’s SupplySide West conference¹, Ethical Naturals Inc. showcased GreenGrown Glucosamine, Cranberex, AlphaWave L-Theanine, and Polyphenol-C. GreenGrown Glucosamine is a vegan, allergen-free and vegan alternative to glucosamine which is typically derived from shellfish. The ingredient is made by converting non-GMO corn into glucose then using bacterial fermentation and purification process to produce a highly purified glucosamine in either hydrochloride or sulfate form.

Cranberex, says the company’s website, is a cranberry fruit concentrate made from whole Oregon Cranberry fruit that has been standardized to 15% A-Type linkage proanthocyanidins (PAC’s). AlphaWave L-Theanine has been shown in research to increase alpha brainwave activity to help manage stress and support cognitive health.
