DFE Pharma (Goch, Germany) has launched its Nutroféli line of starch-based excipients for nutraceuticals. The excipients are naturally sourced and multifunctional as binders, fillers, and disintegrants for oral solid dosage forms.
The Nutroféli line includes a native starch excipient (Nutroféli ST100), a partially pregelatinized starch (Nutroféli ST200), and a fully gelatinized starch (Nutroféli ST300).
The starches comply with clean-label requirements and both food and pharmaceutical monographs, the company says.
