Canada-based Lallemand acquires U.S. probiotic contract manufacturer Dietary Pros Inc.
Dietary Pros is an NSF 21 CFR 111–certified contract manufacturer based in Wisconsin.
Lallemand Health Solutions (Mirabel, QC, Canada), a supplier of probiotic yeast and bacteria-based formulas, has acquired Dietary Pros Inc. (Wausau, WI), a U.S.-based contract manufacturer of probiotic products.
Dietary Pros Inc. specializes in manufacturing probiotic and other non-probiotic supplements in forms including capsules, tablets, and ready-to-drink powder mixes. The company also produces private-label products based on its in-house D2C Probium and Flexatine lines.
“To have a U.S.-based manufacturing facility adds flexibility to our day-to-day operations and expands our production capacity,” stated Isabelle Champié, vice president of sales and marketing at Lallemand Health Solutions, in a press release.
She continued: “The benefits are numerous, ranging from extending our supplement offerings beyond probiotics to growing our customer portfolio. We will now offer a full range of products within the same facility, featuring multiple combinations of ingredients with flexible operations.”
