Some of the key changes that deserve publicattention and input are:
- The definitions provided in the Standard’s glossary were changed to reflect the greater understanding of the science and policy behind the hempplant and hemp products.
- Sections outlining the prohibitions on intoxicating compounds being certified by the U.S. HempAuthority were strengthened in 4.0.
- A deletion of mention of any particular firm or company.
- The category that was originally labeled “Manufacturer/Processor” was renamed.
- A category originally labeled “Manufacturer/Processor” was renamed “Manufacturer” to provide more clarity and precision.
