Sirio Pharma announced new gummy manufacturing capabilities at the U.S.-based Best Formulations facility

Sirio Pharm Co. Ltd. has announced the addition of new gummy manufacturing capabilities at its Best Formulation (City of Industry, CA) site, which is the company’s manufacturing facility in the United States. Sirio Pharma completed its acquisition of Best Formulation in January of 2023, and Sirio explains that the integration of Best Formulations into Sirio Pharma’s global operations allows the contract development and manufacturing organization to offer localized manufacturing capabilities across three continents.

According to a press release from Sirio Pharma, Best Formulations is on track to achieve full operational readiness by the end of October 2023, with new gummy capabilities that include a dedicated R&D lab, an automated production line, and bottle packaging solutions. Its starch-free production line can produce a variety of gummies, including gelatin-based, pectin-based, and gelatin-pectin combination gummies. With pilot-scale equipment, Best Formulation’s onsite R&D lab can seamlessly scale up into the production line, and allows the company to produce samples for evaluation using equipment that closely mirrors production, expediting time to market.
