P.L. Thomas (Morristown, NJ) is now offering its U.S. and Canadian food and dietary supplement customers botanical extracts from French firm Burgundy Botanical Extracts.
“We are very excited to present to our clients with Burgundy’s exceptionally broad spectrum of botanical extracts, manufactured and documented to the highest standards,” said P.L. Thomas president Paul M. Flowerman.
Branded ingredients in the Burgundy line include UTIRose, clinically proven hibiscus extract for urinary tract health; EyesBerry, a blend of berries rich in anthocyanosides for eye support; and IridoForce, a Devil’s Claw extract for joint health.
Burgundy, which operates in France and Spain, acquired the botanicals extracts division of Cognis in 2009. The company works with up to 6000 tons of dried herbal raw materials each year, comprising 450 botanical species.
