New synbiotic supplement introduced by BP Nutriscience in Malaysia features Benicaros prebiotic and Howaru probiotics

In a recent press release, NutriLeads introduced a new synbiotic supplement called Enescene Probio 3+, formulated by BP Nutriscience, in Malaysia. The supplement comes in a botanical mixed berries powder drink that features NutriLeads' Benicaros prebiotic, Howaru probiotics, and heat-treated postbiotics.¹

Enesence Probio 3+ was created for adults interested in supporting their immunity and digestive health and can be taken daily.

As mentioned in the press release, Benicaros is a prebiotic that is upcycled from carrot pomace.¹ According to results from a clinical research study2, the prebiotic helps encourage the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, as well as short-chain fatty acids production. In the study, 146 participants were given either Benicaros or a placebo. Over the course of eight weeks, the participants submitted fecal samples that were DNA extracted and sequenced by Clinical Microbiomcs A/S.² The study mentioned, “While the overall gut microbiota composition in the population was generally unaltered by this very low dose of fibre, the relative abundance of Bifidobacterium spp. (mainly B. adolescentis and B. longum) was significantly increased by both doses of cRG-1. Moreover, daily supplementation of cRG-I led to a dose-dependent reduction in inter- and intra-individual microbiota heterogeneity, suggesting a stabilizing effect on the gut microbiota.”²
