Seeing the popularity of fish oil in gummy form, krill oil supplier Aker BioMarine developed a krill gummy concept.
While tracking recent gummy launches, Nutritional Outlook has learned that Aker BioMarine ASA (Oslo, Norway) is now offering a Superba krill oil gummy bear product. Pledging the same omega-3 doses in a single serving of gummies as a traditional capsule of krill oil, Aker premiered these little guys at the Vitafoods trade show held this month in Geneva. The company says its gummies are a result of several months of collaboration with dedicated gummy manufacturers.
Discerning fish oil consumers are likely aware of the prevalence of fish oil gummies on the market. The future inclusion of krill gummies on an industrial scale should balance out the playing field.
