Immudyne Nutritionals (Jacksonville, FL) has received organic certification for its PureMune beta-glucan ingredient from Quality Assurance International (QAI). PureMune is derived from baker’s yeast, and according to the company, is a fast acting formula that activates all three parts of the immune system: Dectin-1, toll-like receptors, and complement immune system. Highly versatile as well, PureMune can be incorporated into numerous supplement dosage formats (tablets, capsules, gummies, powders), and foods, such as baked goods, dairy, energy bars/cereals, beverages, soups and ice creams.
“The ability to offer an organic beta-glucan ingredient allows our formulator partners to reach more discerning customers who are increasingly becoming concerned about purity of the ingredients that comprise the supplements, foods and beverages they consume to support overall health and wellness,” stated Immudyne Nutritionals CEO Mark McLaughlin. “In today’s market, ingredients need to also perform in a best-in-class manner to fulfill expectations of more immediate benefit, and as a pure particulate beta glucan, studies have shown PureMune activates the immune system faster than conventional beta glucans.”
