Gencor (Austin, TX) has announced that it will be the exclusive U.S. distributor for a fermented salidroside bioactive, called Landkind Pure Salidroside. The ingredient is manufactured by Gnosis by Lesaffre as an alternative to rhodiola extract. Salidroside is the most studied bioactive in rhodiola, to which the extract efficacy is attributed to. Rhodiola is a threatened species due to overharvesting, and has been added to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) list of Wild Fauna and Flora to ensure sustainable harvest and trade. Therefore, Landkind is marketed as an effective and sustainable alternative to the herbal extract.

According to the company, the ingredient has an effective dose of 60 mg per day. Research has shown that supplementation with Landkind Pure Salidroside significantly increase oxygen uptake during exercise.
