Gencor (Irvine, CA) announced that AGEprost, an herbal extract of the plant Ageratum conyzoides, is listed on Health Canada’s Licensed Natural Health Products Database (LNHPD) for prostate health claims. The ingredient is a 5-a-reductase inhibitor and has been shown to relax muscles around the urethra and smooth muscles of the neck of the bladder, helping relieve urinary retention and frequency.
The three claims include:
