The third-party tester confirms Enzymotec's krill oil meets its stated specifications.
Krill oil supplier Enzymotec (Migdal HaEmeq, Israel) says it has passed an extensive ConsumerLab.com quality test for active ingredients and toxins in its raw material and branded krill oil product. The company says it is the only krill oil supplier to achieve ConsumerLab certification two times in a row.
ConsumerLab.com is an independent test program that evaluates raw materials and finished dietary supplements to ensure that they match said specifications of their contents. ConsumerLab.com evaluated Enzymotec’s product for omega-3 EPA, omega-3 DHA, total omega-3, lead mercury, dioxin-like PCB’s, and freshness as part of a 2012 ConsumerLab.com review of marine-based omega-3 products.
“Enzymotec has an exclusive processing technique called MSO, which ensures superior freshness and potency to the end consumers,” said Efrat Shabat, Enzymotec’s director of omega-3 business. “That process methodology runs through all of our grades, including the pure and the high-potency krill oils, ensuring their ‘best in class’ status. We thus can again guarantee that our material truly meets the specifications and qualifications it is supposed to meet.”
