Coral LLC (Carson City, NV) has launched its new line of Coral LLC Gummies gummy vitamins. One of the two new gummy launches, Organic Hawaiian Red Turmeric Gummies, is formulated for adults looking to incorporate the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of turmeric (Curcuma longa) into their daily supplement regimen.
Turmeric is known to possess many health benefits, including joint health, digestive, and inflammatory support, and support for skin and immune system health, says the company. Formulating a curcumin ingredient into a gummy product, however, comes with challenges. According to Karthik Santhanam, formulator gummy expert at Coral, those challenges include smell, taste, cleaning of equipment, and palatability with other ingredients in the formula, as well as maintaining organoleptics and analytical challenges with respect to testing for curcumin.
Each gummy contains 100 mg of Hawaiian-grown, organic turmeric. In addition, the gummies are free of gluten, soy, dairy, wheat, and gelatin, and are non-GMO. In addition to Coral’s Organic Hawaiian Red Turmeric Gummies, the company is also introducing a new calcium supplement for children. Natural Calcium Gummies, which are colored and flavored naturally, contain 300 mg of bioavailable calcium and 500 IU of vitamin D3-125% of the recommended daily value, it says.
