December 20, 2010

Coca-Cola is looking to innovate its zero and reduced-calorie beverages.

Coca-Cola Company (Atlanta) has teamed up with flavor ingredients developer Chromocell Corporation (North Brunswick, NJ) to increase flavor innovation research for Coca-Cola’s extensive beverage line.

With over 20 stevia-based products worldwide, Coca-Cola is showing increasing interest in new flavors and sweeteners.

The agreement with Chromocell will focus on the use of sweetener enhancers, natural sweeteners, and other flavor ingredients for Coca-Cola’s zero and reduced-calorie beverages.

Chromocell will receive royalties for sales of products that use the technologies discovered in this partnership.
