ChromaDex Corp. (Los Angeles, CA) has launched its Tru Niagen nicotinamide riboside ingredient in Canada after receiving regulatory approval from Health Canada. It will be available direct-to-consumer through Tru Niagen’s website and to healthcare practitioner at Fullscript Canada.

“As we build Tru Niagen into a global brand, we are pleased to extend our footprint to Canada,” said ChromaDex CEO Rob Fried in a press release. “We look forward to bringing Tru Niagen to the health-conscious people of Canada and other countries around the world.”

In addition to expanding into the Canadian market, ChromaDex’s recent efforts to bring awareness to its Tru Niagen brand include the release Tru Niagen stick packs, a new delivery method for its nicotinamide riboside ingredient that meets consumer demand for convenience. Each stick pack contains 300 mg of nicotinamide riboside combined with inulin fiber sourced from chicory root and can be mixed into hot and cold beverages.

Besides being available on Amazon.com, the stick packs are being utilized by Upgrade Labs, a biohacking health and fitness facility, select Pressed Juicery locations in Los Angeles, and the restaurants Make Out and New Deli from Matthew Kenney, a James Beard Award winner. By making its products available in foodservice and health establishments, ChromaDex is meeting potential health-conscious consumers in the real world, thus enhancing awareness of Tru Niagen, and demonstrating the product’s versatility.
