Charles Ross & Son Co. (Hauppauge, NY), a specialist in mixers, blenders, drying, and dispersion equipment, has completed a 12,000-sq-ft plant expansion at its Port St. Lucie, FL, facility. The company says it is its fifth and largest renovation since opening in 1988. The 45,000-sq-ft plant is one of five U.S. manufacturing locations.
In addition to the plant expansion, the company says it has increased its workforce by 25%, “making it better equipped than ever to meet quick deliveries while maintaining the quality that customers from virtually all the process industries expect in a Ross mixer.”
In particular, the Port St. Lucie location is a key part of the company’s trial/rental program, which keeps a multimillion-dollar inventory of new and reconditioned mixing equipment. The facility also builds a wide range of laboratory and production-scale models, including rotor/stator mixers, high-speed dispersers, multishaft mixers, planetary mixers, and ribbon blenders.
