American Oil Chemists’ Society Appoints CEO

The American Oil Chemists’ Society, which promotes the science and technology of lipids in the fats and oils industries, has named Patrick Donnelly its new CEO.
Most recently, Donnelly was a senior policy advisor and practice group chair for the international law firm Crowell & Moring LLP. He was also previously executive vice president and COO at CropLife America, a U.S. trade association representing U.S. agrochemical manufacturers. He also served as global leader of government and public affairs for Dow AgroSciences LLC, and as director of federal government relations for Ciba and Novartis.
Donnelly holds a master’s degree and a PhD in reproductive physiology from West Virginia University. He succeeds Jean Wills Hinton as AOCS’s CEO.
