On-the-go solutions will make it easier for consumers to embrace high-protein products

As more companies capitalize on growing interest in protein, on-the-go solutions will make it easier for consumers to embrace high-protein products. Such is the thinking behind Protein On-the-Go, a just-add-water pouch from E-hydrate containing 25 g of protein. Consumers add water to the ready-to-mix pouch, a solution the company calls “ultra-portable and can literally be taken anywhere,” including as a meal replacement or after strenuous exercise.
“We see this as a simple solution. Offer a super high-quality product that tastes great and is low in sugar, then make it portable,” says a company representative.
The product officially launched in September 2015 in Target stores nationwide. According to the representative, “There are a number of factors we took into account when creating our protein pouches. People want a product that is self-contained, portable, and easy to use. We saw a huge need in the market for a product like this, and consumers love it.”
With portability in mind, the company also offers high-protein stick packs and gel products.
