USP Certification Granted to Chondroitin Sulfate Supplier Yantai Dongcheng
China-based chondroitin sulfate supplier Yantai Dongcheng Biochemical Company, Ltd., announced the Thai-based company it recently acquired, Sino Siam Biotechnique Co., also a manufacturer of chondroitin sulfate, has earned USP certification.

China-based chondroitin sulfate supplier Yantai Dongcheng Biochemical Company, Ltd., announced the Thai-based company it recently acquired, Sino Siam Biotechnique Co., also a manufacturer of chondroitin sulfate, has earned USP certification. Sino Siam is also GMP, ISO 9001, and HACCP certified.
Sino Siam Biotechnique has a manufacturing capacity of 350 metric tons of chondroitin sulfate annually. “The approximate annual market for chondroitin in the U.S. is about 2,500 tons, and globally, that figure is about 4,000 tons,” said John Turner, vice president of Dongcheng USA (Greenville, PA), a subsidiary of Yantai Dongcheng Biochemical that handles all of the company’s U.S. chondroitin sulfate sales.
