TriNutra and Nutritunes partner to launch premium black seed oil featuring ThymoQuin

In an August 12, 2025, press release, TriNutra, the supplier of ThymoQuin black seed oil (Nigella sativa), announced its partnership with the wellness brand Nutritunes. ThymoQuin is a USP-grade, low acid, black seed oil intended to support healthy cortisol levels, immune health, heart health, and the gut microbiome. It is standardized to contain 3% of the phytochemical thymoquinone, and contains less than 1.25% free fatty acids.

In 2024, TriNutra announced that Health Canada had approved six structure-function claims for ThymoQuin, allowing product manufacturers to make specific recommendations based on scientific data presented. The claims include support of healthy liver function, cardiovascular health, and healthy glucose levels.

As the press release states, ThymoQuin has been clinically tested to improve mitochondrial activity and ATP production, and provide antioxidant activity. Because thymoquinone can be unstable in the presence of fatty acids, the composition is maintained through TriNutra’s manufacturing process as well as the growing and harvesting methods.
